Ringo / BTS
‘Ringo’ was made in a way that pioneered some of Jack Conan Burke’s philosophies on film production; minimal use of lighting, lightweight production techniques, as well as online distribution methods.
Ringo was made for less than 2.5k, with all cast and crew getting paid. The process focused on story telling, the actors and the script. The entire film was made without using a single studio light, and from idea generation to online release, took less than 4 months to make.
BURKE believes that this form of filmmaking and distribution can certainly challenge the ‘best practises’ of the traditional industry, and help democratise the film industry even further.
